What time do gates open?
During the season, the event gates will open at 6:15pm at which time The Sydney Morning Herald Good Living restaurant and Chandon Bar will also open.
The event’s box office will open at 6:15pm for ticket collection and 6:30pm for door sales.
What time do screenings start?
During the season, screenings start at nightfall; usually between 8:30pm and 8:40pm.
What happens if I arrive late?
If you are late you’ll still be admitted to the screening, provided you have a valid ticket.
How do I get to the St.George OpenAir Cinema?
St.George OpenAir Cinema is located at Fleet Steps, Mrs Macquaries Point adjacent to the Royal Botanic Gardens. click here for more information
If I drive, is there somewhere to park?
There are over 200 metered parking spaces on Mrs Macquaries Rd, charged at the following rates: 8am to 8pm $7.00/hr or 8pm to 8am $3.00/hr. Meters accept coins, Visa, Mastercard and mobile phone payments.
Please be mindful not to leave valuables in your car if parked on the street.

Should I bring a chair?
No, all tickets are for unreserved grandstand seating.
Can I leave the cinema and come back?
Yes, provided your ticket is scanned by one of our staff upon exiting the event, you may re-enter via the main gate where your ticket will be scanned again for re-entry.
Please do not exit or enter the event without having your ticket scanned.
Can I walk through the Botanic Gardens once the screening has finished?
No, you cannot depart the event through the Royal Botanic Gardens, as all gates close at 8:00pm. Following the event, the easiest route back to the city is via Mrs Macquaries Road and th Domain.
What happens to lost property?
Any items that we locate will be handed to the Event Manager and recorded nightly. If you have lost an item, please email contact@cinerent.com.au.
Is grandstand seating allocated?
General admission grandstand seating is not allocated.
How can I gain access to the seats reserved for St.George Bank customers?
If you are one of the first St.George customers through the gate each evening, you will be seated in the special St.George VIP area. Limit of 100 seats per night (maximum of 4 seats will be allocated per customer). To redeem this offer just present your card or statement at the St.George booth.
