Synopsis
One of the most stirring, provocative films to have emerged in recent time, As it is in Heaven will stay with you long after you have left the cinema. Internationally-acclaimed conductor Daniel Dareus (Nyqvist) suddenly abandons his glittering career. Exhausted and lonely, he retreats to the isolated village of his childhood in northern Sweden. He inevitably attracts the townsfolks' curiosity and reluctantly agrees to help the small church choir, but just as he rediscovers his love for music, the town's petty jealousies turn in on him, irrevocably changing his life and the lives of those around him.
