Synopsis

This may well be THE feel good movie of 2007. Not since Grease have we seen Travolta so wonderfully strut his stuff. In this fabulous musical adapted from the Broadway hit, he dons a fat suit to become Edna, the kind-hearted and sweet-obsessed mother to Tracy Turnblad (Blonsky), a girl with sass and style, determined to turn white-picket values upside-down with her new ideas and dance moves. With star turns from Walken as Tracy's dad, Pfeiffer as the meanspirited Velma Von Tussle, and Queen Latifah as Motormouth Maybelle, Hairspray is a rollicking ride back to the 50s that will get you out of your seat and dancing in the aisles.
