Michael Clayton (Clooney) is a fixer at one of New York's largest corporate law firms. Though an attorney by profession, Clayton's job is to clean up client's messes, 'taking care of' anything from hit-and-runs to crooked politicians. But when the firm's leading litigator in a multi-million dollar settlement has an apparent breakdown and tries to sabotage his own case, the stakes are raised, and Clayton is forced to confront who he is and what can be justified. Tension packed from start to finish, with top class performances by a stellar cast.
"The qualities that movie audiences have always wanted in a leading man, Clooney has them all: looks, gravity, sense of humour, intelligence and a touch of ruthlessness. Bogart, Tracy and Cary Grant, all rolled together."
Sydney Morning Herald
"It's the movie of the year. Amazing performances by George Clooney, Tom Wilkinson and Tilda Swinton."
