Synopsis

In this highly entertaining, outlandish and heartwarming Brit comedy,Simon Pegg plays Dennis, your run-of-the-mill, slightly overweight guy who, 5 years after ditching at the alter his beautiful pregnant fiancée Libby (Newton), realises what a complete and utter fool he was. Determined to win back the love of his life, the only problem he can see is she now has a very handsome, high-flying banker boyfriend (Azaria) who, on paper at least, might seem the better man. But when Dennis learns his nemesis has entered in the Thames marathon he sees an opportunity. How hard can it be? Cut back on the ciggies, the occasional run to the end of the street—and then all he has to do is finish something for the first time in his life. Humour with soul.
