Synopsis
The Lives of Others was the winner of the 2007 Oscar® for Best Foreign Language Film, and is one of the great movie-going experiences of recent years. Set in East Germany in 1984, the film explores the complex chain of events unleashed when a government minister attracted to a beautiful actress exploits his power by ordering the secret police to 'gather evidence' on her lover.
