Burning Man

Our most admired Australian film of 2011, a superbly crafted drama from the director of Gettin’ Square and Better Than Sex. A film that intrigues and grips you throughout,  Burning Man is the sexy, sharp and moving story of Tom (Goode), a British chef in a Bondi restaurant whose much adored Australian wife loses her battle with cancer.  Tom tries desperately to hold it together for the couple’s young son, but engulfed by anguish and loss, he recognises his grief allows him a licence to be reckless. Feeling cheated and alone he embarks on a hedonistic course, challenging his own mortality.

It packs such an emotional wallop this film. MARGARET POMERANZ – AT THE MOVIES

Will shock you with its honesty and its bravery. I can’t wait to see it again. DAVID STRATTON – AT THE MOVIES
