An outstanding performance from George Clooney is the icing on Alexander Payne’s Oscar® touted latest work. Matt King (Clooney) has been an indifferent husband and father of two girls. When his wife is left in a coma following a boating accident his life is turned upside down. But when his eldest daughter in a fit of teenage anger lets fly that her mother had been having an affair, upside down no longer describes things. While wrestling with whether to punch his wife’s lover or advise him of her accident, Matt must negotiate a rapprochement with his daughters, determine his wife’s future and decide whether to accept a bid on the family’s extensive land holdings.
