Situated on the most beautiful harbour in the world, OpenAir is a nightly festival of film and Sydney lifestyle throughout January and February 2020. We are offering positions to dedicated, hardworking individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are experienced in customer service. Foreign passport holders must have a current visa and be eligible to work in Australia

Casual positions are available in the following areas:
Ground staff cover majority of the events customer service. Tasks include ushering, ticket scanning, hosting dining areas, event program and merchandise distribution, event set-up, cleaning and maintenance of site. This is a busy event committed to customer service excellence, ground staff are required to actively engage with patrons, keep up to date and informed of the event’s key messages and easily adapt to the unique requirements of our site and patrons.
Hours of work:
Between 4-6 shifts per week usually starting from 4.30pm and finishing between 9:00pm and 12:30am.
Bartending experience and a current RSA are essential. This is a fast paced, high-end bar which requires well groomed, articulate and efficient bartenders. Cocktail mixing skills are a bonus! We are also looking for workers who have experience working on a till. This role requires a high level of customer service skills, we expect you to be able to communicate effectively and enhance the guests experience at our event.
Hours of work:
Between 4-6 shifts per week usually starting from 3.30pm and finishing between 8:00pm and 12:00am.
BOX OFFICE STAFF
Previous experience working in a venue box office and computer skills are required and it is preferred that applicants have existing knowledge of Ticketmaster PCI or Classic, or other ticketing systems. The box office handles a high influx of patrons per night. It is a fast-paced environment that above all requires outstanding communication and organisational skills as well as a positive, helpful, and adaptable attitude to customers.
Hours of work:
Available to work 5pm-8.30pm 4-6 shifts a week during the season (maximum number of shifts is not guaranteed).
Also seeking to hire a part-time ticketing assistant with supervisor or advanced box office experience; hours of work to be negotiated with the Ticketing Manager.
We’re additionally looking for crew to assist with the Event installation. We want workers who are physically fit and able to assist in the construction and set-up of the event infrastructure. Experience in event set-up/pack-down or similar will be advantageous when applying for this position. You must have a White Card, steel caps and enjoy working outdoors.
Bump-in runs from the 12th- 24th December 2019, then 2nd- 8th January 2020.
